Dr. Kass recently attended a high school reunion and met an old friend who had lost sight in one eye due to shingles, a serious and painful disease.  There is now a vaccine that will protect people over the age of 65 from this condition. Dr. Kass, who has already had the vaccine, strongly recommends that you see your family physician for information about the shingles vaccine.
